Here we go with those who will conflate “social justice” issues with life issues as being of the same value. This kind of “seamless garment” argument does nothing but confuse the faithful and creates confusion; and Satan loves the faithful to be lost in confusion.
Hmm…
1. A man goes hungry for a day.
2. A baby is murdered.
I don’t understand the confusion in knowing which one is worse.

I don’t either and in case number one, there are places they can go to get food, help and shelter. Even then, I would like to put the responsibility on the neighbors of those who are having problems: not the government. It isn’t their job anyhow – it’s ours.

True….and in that, the good bishop is probably a product of the culture as are many other people. So many are so accustomed to the government being a charity worker that they see anything less as being uncaring towards the poor. I believe it’s in the book of James where it’s written to “look after widows and orphans”. James says that WE are to look after the widows and orphans.
On a side note, I personally take notice that James speaks of widows and orphans, and not more or less healthy 20 something year olds that don’t seem to want to work or who think they are owed money and benefits from the hard work of others for nothing. Maybe I’m reading too much into the verse, though.

Not only that, the quote in my quote box says it all: “For also when we were with you, this we declared to you: that, if any man will not work, neither let him eat. For we have heard there are some among you who walk disorderly, working not at all, but curiously meddling.” __ II Thessalonians 3:10-11

Thanks. It worked beautifully. I’ll try to get through them today and get as many posted as I can. I’m leaving tomorrow AM for Florida to meet up with my brother. Will probably be out of pocket until election day so I want to post as much as I can today.

Thanks Mr. V. Haven’t seen my brother since we put our parents to rest in Arlington National Cemetery about 14 months ago. It will be great to get together with him again.

Thank you so much. I am looking forward to seeing what my brother did to my mom and dad’s house after their death. I know he had contractors working on remodeling it for about a year. It is right on the beach looking out over the Atlantic and it should be beautiful from what I hear. 🙂

Tomorrow morning. Then I will return Monday night so that I can go and cast my decisive vote for Romey and determine the course of history for many years. 🙂

I hope so. All the media here are saying it will be Obarmy 😦

My dad called him Omar. I think that is fitting. 🙂

Have a great time, should be a good time of year for Florida. Would that be Omar the Tentmaker? 🙂

I hope he’s better at that than he was at being President. 🙂

No kidding, I’d like to think he has some kind of a skill. 🙂

Otherwise, he’ll have to live off the government dole like all his voters. 🙂

Course he’s going to anyway, and no doubt make more trouble than Carter 🙂

You can bank on that Neo. The two would make a great Dynamic Duo or if you include Billy Boy you have Triumverate. 🙂

And for Jess, it seems like your media thinks the country still ends at the Hudson, and given the mess that Sandy made, I wouldn’t bet much against Romney in NY, even.

I love your thinking Neo. Hoping and praying that you are right. 🙂

I’ll see if I can do early voting in FL and then stop in GA and do the same before arriving in SC to cast my real vote. That way, I can cancel out a couple of dead people who are voting for Obama. Good plan, huh? What do the dead see in Obama anyway? Is Obama promising to raise them from the dead or something? 🙂

I think Hizzoner, Mayor Daley has a caucus of Demonrats in Hell. That’s all it is. 🙂

Glad I could explain that, you learn these things living around Chicago, or from what Jess says, Northern Ireland. 🙂

Oh, I misunderstood that. I thought you had to stand in line not on line. Of course at my age, I have no idea what any of this means.
I might get a few minutes to blog during the coming days as I just found out my brother put WiFi in the house – so I’ll take my laptop with me just in case I get a few idle moments. Talk to you soon. 🙂
